Position Overview
As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will complies and maintains records of quantity and type of merchandise stocked in warehouse.
Count merchandise in stock and posts totals to inventory records
Compare inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory
Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies
Generate reports such as inventory balance or shortages
Prepare lists of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items
High school diploma or GED
One year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred experience operating cherry picker equiptment; must be able to successfully complete training.
Excellent communication, problem solving, and computer skills are required, along with attention to detail.
Ability to do the follow activities: reaching, stooping, climbing, balancing, lifting, pushing, carrying, driving, sitting, handling paperwork, pulling and gripping items over 60 lbs.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
